Pomonte wreck (Elviscott)
Diving Pomonte wreck dive site Elba Island
Pomonte wreck, otherwise called Elviscott is laying on 13 meters depth at 200 meters from Pomonte beach on the southwest coast of Elba. It was a cargo ship bumping a rock during a storm and sinking in front of the beach. The deepest point is on 13 meters, the shallower just below the surface. We reach Pomonte beach by car ( 50 minutes approximately) from our diving center. We enter the water from the beach and we swim on the surface to reach the rock. Here we go down and start swimming around the wreck. The wreck has big openings that allow penetration having anyway, constantly direct access to the surface. Although an easy dive, it is a very nice site especially for children.
